COLOUPOP X LAURA LEE NKLA SUPER SHOCK FOURSOME

Hey ya'll, today we will b doing a short review and swatch of the Colourpop X Laura Lee No Kill LA Super Shock shadows.
Firstly a big cheers to Colourpop for supporting such a great cause!

"All net profits from the purchase of these products will be donated to Best Friends Animal Society®, a leading national animal welfare organization dedicated to ending the killing of dogs and cats in America's shelters. Through their NKLA initiative and all across the country, they’re working to Save Them All®."

Lets start with the beautiful packaging!
Really like the pink colour with the rose and gold details.

Look at those adorable paw prints~

Ritz-Great as a shadow topper as it is super glittery (large and super lots of glitter) and will make your eye look pop! Its base colour is almost transparent and you can only see the glitter when applied. I am obsessed with it!

Hiney- Also have glitter bits (not as many or big as Ritz) but has a light champagne base. It is like a more in your face glitter version of Sequin.

Glitz- A beautiful mauve shade of matte shade

Shiny- A red based brown shade with small glitter mixed it. When applied to lids, the shine is not visible. I would say this is the most common shade out of the 4 but still beautiful!

They are of course all of wonderful quality and I love them all.
They do sell the shadows as a foursome or singles. But since all the money goes to a great cause, i just got all 4! :)

Peri Pera Airy Ink Velvet Review

Hey ya'll! It has been a while since i did a product review and I'm excited to finally be back!
I've been caught up with work an studies this year but I am determined to post and share more regularly!
Though it may be kinda of late, I'll be reviewing Peri Pera's Airy Ink Velvet!
Their Airly Ink Velvet line currently consists a total of 10 beautiful shades to pick from.

Here are the 5 shades which i picked out!
(04, 06, 08, 09, 10)

Here is a side by side swatch or your easy comparison.
I will say that shade 06 & 08 are fairly similar dusty orange kinda shade so you probably don't need both.
(note that it is swatched on paper and may look different on individual lips)

p.s I can't name a favourite cause they all look so lovely!

The below screen shots the product claims stated on their website.
If you notice, long wearing is not one of their product claims.

Overall I would say that i really enjoy this series Peri Pera brought out. The colours are all very beautiful and give the most natural looking gradient lips. The texture of the lipstick is very light, almost like powder, yet amazingly not drying at all. I really like how after applying it I will look like i have baby smooth lips. A downside is that the colour is not very buildable, so if you would like for it to be darker in the middle before feathering outwards, it would be difficult to do with 1 shade. I find myself having to grab for a darker shade and popping that in the middle. The longevity of the this lipstick if surely its biggest meh point.

Pros
-Met all 3 product claims
-Super light on the lips
-Very natural looking
-Makes beautiful gradient lips
-not drying

Cons
-Not very long lasting
-Colour not very buildable

I would recommend this to those who are looking for very natural looking lips, for example students or guys who are looking for that colour without it looking too in your face. If you like bold long lasting lips, this is probably not for you. I personally don't mind reapplying through the day as I do so after each meal regardless.

If you are keen on this but looking for something more natural, perhaps you would like to try their Peri Pera Ink the Velvet Series.

【双眼皮手术】My Double Eyelid Surgery (with stitches) Experience

Hey ya'll! Today's post will be a slightly different as I will be sharing with you about my Double Eyelid Surgery Experience.

In this post I will not be disclosing the place where I had my surgery done or give any comments and feedback regarding the place. It will purely be about how I feel throughout the entire process.

So sit back, relax and prepare yourself for a long story telling session.

Here is a photo of me way back.
I have some contact lens on, no makeup, no eyelid tape.

Here is another photo but in this photo I pasted on some eyelid tape and drew on a cat eye to extend the length of the eye.

Here is a photo taken just 1 year before the surgery.
(No makeup No contact lens No eyelid tape)

So before I go heavy with the photos, I shall tell you more about a few things to take note of.

-Healing Period: 2-6 months
-Try to stay home for the first 2 days.
-The less touching, rubbing or disturbing of the wound for the first 2 days, the better the results.
-The less you look in the mirror the better. As looking in the mirror would involve a lot of facial movements which may pull scar apart.
-Try not to wet the upper eyelid for the first 2 days. Shower with care.
-You can run water over your upper eyelid after 2 days.
-No soap on eyelid for 5 days.
-It is important to wipe eyelids clean with soft facial tissue.
-Avoid contact lens for 2 days.
-Lying down in bed will not help with swelling.
-Do not bend over, it will increase swelling and bleeding.
-Avoid eating very salty food for first 2 weeks to reduce swelling.
-Bruising and swelling will continue for 2-4 weeks.
-Postpone exercising.
-Avoid excessive sun exposure.
-Try to avoid sauna, facial and massages near face
-You will look natural after 3-6 months

So now that we have that settled lets move onto the photos of my recovery process.

*Upcoming photos might look disturbing so proceed with care*

This cute collage is done by my mom!

Super disturbing I know lol!
And look how swollen it is!

My stitches were removed on the 7th day.
The swelling subsided a lot after the stitches were removed, and it felt a lot more comfortable.

2 weeks: Swelling subside enough to go outside
4 weeks: Normal people probably wont notice
3 months later: Swelling should have 90% subsided

Here are some follow up pictures of the swelling in specific time frame for your reference.
(Swelling subsides at different rates for each individual)

This is a picture about weeks post-op.
Also my first picture after a 3 weeks break from social media.
You can tell that the lids are still larely swollen, but as you can see, i have eye makeup on and it's not an issue.

(May 2015)
1 month post-op and school was back on.
Can tell that the swelling for sure went down a bunch in just this week!

(March 2017)

So that wraps up my up double eyelid sharing session!
Hope ya'll enjoyed this post and the updates!
