Nars Laguna Review

Hey ya'll! Today's review will be on the cult favourite Nars Laguna Bronzer. I am really excited to be finally trying this out and seeing what the fuss is all about.
Selling in Sephora at $63,8g

There are 3 shades in their bronzing powder series, namely Laguna, Casino and Irresistablement.

-Creates ultimate healthy glow
-Diffused powder with golden shimmer
-Ideal for all skin tones
-Sutle shimmer adds glow
-Just apply to areas which will be hit by the sun naturally

You can see some shimmer particles when you look into the pan.

This is defienetly not a matte type of bronzer as it swatches out with a good amount of sheen.
The colour is quite a neutral brown.
The bronzer looks rather light when swatched so I am unsure if it work on darker skin types.

When swatched with other similar bronzers with similar finish, you can see that Laguna is not very warm but more neutral.
The Hard Candy baked bronzer is one of my personal favourites but the formula is slightly harder compared to Nars as it is after all a baked powder.

Here is how it looks on me. I am a NC 20-25 skin tone.

The bronzer does not look very warm but just enough to give a glowy complexion.

I don't really have a lot of bronzers which have shimmers in them so I was quite worried when I picked this up. But this is so highly raved and I was itching to get my hands on it.
I didn't know I will enjoy a bonzer with a sheen that much. The initial colour swatches out to be rather light but when applied onto the face, it matched my skin tone rather well and gave a really healthy finish. The golden shimmers I saw in the pan did not show up at all, thankfully.
If you are concerned about trying out a bronzer with a satin finish, this is actually a great bronzer because it does not pull too shimmery and glowy but just enough to make you look sun kissed.

Pros
-Blendable and finely milled powder
-Satin finish that gives skin a really healthy sun kissed glow.
-Buildable to depending on brush used.

Cons
-Expensive
-Packaging gets dirty very easily

All Skin Types: -Recommended-
*I am not sure if it will appear well on very deep skin tones.

Will I Repurchase
Yes!
And I want to get my hands on those 2 other shades as well.

Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Palette Review

Hey ya'll! Today's review will be quick one of the Kat Von D Shade + Light Palette.
Aren't contour palettes been all the rave lately? And with so many companies coming out with their own version of contour palette, there are too many choices available, making it hard to make a decision on which one to get.
Well, at least that happened to me.

Bought on Carousell for $70

Kat Von D is not yet sold in stores in Singapore.
It is of a higher-end brand hence it is slightly more expensive.

Highlight shades: Levitation, Lyrie, Lucid

Bronze/Contour shades: Subconscious, Shadowplay, Sombre

This is how the contour looks like.

Used it as my eye shadow and eyebrow powder as well.
I think it looks pretty good, as it gives a really natural look.
Hence if you want a quick fix, this is all-in-one palette for you!
Lipstick: Mac Viva Glam Ariana Grande.

I really enjoy using this product! I love how the cool and warm tones are readily displayed in a palette for easy use. I am very satisfied with the colour payoff and the way it blends on the skin.

Pros
-Last through the whole day
-Pigmented
-Blends very easily
-Shades can suit a wide range of skin tones
-Includes cool tones and warm tones

Cons
-Only 1 selection of shade. (But I hear they are coming out with more variety!)
-Pan does not pop out

*Since the shades are very pigmented, it is easy to get over handed with this. What I would suggest is for you to use a brush which is less dense and onlt use a denser brush for areas which need more focus.

Will I Repurchase
Yes! Yes! Yes!
