Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Opal Review

Hey ya'll! Today's review will be on another one of the Becca's famous highlighters.
The shade I will be reviewing today is Opal, a cult favorite for many. Becca has a wide range of highlighter shades to cater to a wide range of skin tones.

 Becca opal
Selling in Sephora at $58, 8g

Great sleek packaging (looks like an UFO) with a decent sized mirror.

Champagne Rose Gold shade
It can be used as an intense highlight or used sparingly to create a more natural look.

Here is a video of the product in action (8:44).

I love love love the shade of this highlight. It is the most beautiful rose gold colour which is so finely milled that it reflects almost like a dream.
I tend to use this very heavy handedly cause it's too pretty to not be piled on. Haha.
The shade suits my skin tone very well giving it a very glam intense highlight look.

Pros
-Powder is very finely milled
-Highlight is extremely intense.
-Not super powdery

Cons
-Expensive
-Have to be very light handed to achieve natural look.
-Powder may break easily in the pan.

Yes
I really like this shade alot!
Champagne Pop is next on my list!

5/5

"A highly raved highlight for a reason!"

Becca Backlight Priming Filter Review

Hey ya'll! Today's review will be on the Becca Backlight Priming Filter. You would most likely know Becca for their pressed highlighters like Opal and Champagne Pop. But today we will be reviewing another one of Becca's popular item also in the illuminating range.
Becca is recently introduced to Singapore's Sephora and it really exciting because I now do not have to purchase Becca products on Carousell.
So onto the review!

Bought on Carousell at $58, 30ml

Comes with a handy pump

Able to dispense small amount each time

The shimmers are rather fine and gives skin a iridescent glow.

-Makeup primer to help blur imperfections and impart radiant glow
-Extends wear from day to night
-Acts as a instant filter
-Lit from with-in, healthy looking effect
-No paraben, sulfates

-Use under foundation or alone, in the t-zone, or all over the face.
-Suitable for all skin types, including oily and combination.

So as they recommended, there are many ways you can go about using this product depending on your skin type and preference.

So here I will show you how I use it under my foundation.

I first dot it around my face, using it as a primer below the foundation.

Here is how it looks like blended out on its own.
You can see the subtle glow it gives the overall face.
If you have a good skin, you can just wear this primer alone to give a boost to light up dull skin.

And here is it under makeup.
Some of the glow is from my highlight but the areas such as cheeks and forehead is only from the illuminating primer.

This is a great illuminating primer for those wanting a natural glow from with in or even a more intense glow. I love mixing this with my foundation or to use it under as a primer.
I usually use just a small amount which is enough to give a sheer radiance. On nights out, I will then use more to give more illumination to the face.
I like how this primer does not make my face look like its oily but just a glow. I love the fact that it is so multi functional and suits all skin types well.
Loving its natural sheen with no overly big glitter or specks, hence gives such a natural skin like glow.

Pros
-Illumination can build up from natural to intese
-Suitable for all skin types
-Multi functional
-Pump dispenses product accuratly
-Shimmers are fine and no big specks of glitter
-Do not need to use a lot of product
-Makes my makeup on top looks better

Cons
-Pricey

Normal Skin: -Recommended-
*If you have good skin, but find it rather dull at times. This illuminating primer will help you give a boost of glow without having to put on makeup.

Combination Skin: -Recommended-
*The way I recommend to use this product would be to mix a little into your foundation to give it a overall healthy glow, or to only use this around your cheeks avoiding T-zone area which may get shiny faster.

Oily Skin: -Recommended-
*I find mixing just a bit of the primer into your regular matte foundations will be a great way to give the face a bit more glow from under the matte base. It wont cause you to look too glowy and oily but just nice to look healthy.

Dry Skin: -Recommended-
*This will be your best type of primer for dry skin types as it will give the skin a good glow and reduce dull dry look. For dry skin, it is good to use it as a priming base before foundation and to use more around drier areas. This however does not replace your moisturizer as it is not a hydrating primer.

Very Dry Skin: -Recommended-
*I recommend you to use a good amount to help reduce dullness. This does not mean you should skip out on the moisturizing as it does not act as a hydrating primer.

Will I Repurchase
Yes
But I think this will last me a really long time before it runs out.
