Hi y’all! Today’s review is an exciting one as it is going to be on the Dixmondsg hair dye! I’m trying out their Rose gold and Lavender Ash to create kinda like a gradient effect. The main reason I decided to give this product a try is it’s claims of being a Long last. Semi permanent dye. The usual Lariche would fade in a few washes, longest a week (for me at least). So when I heard reviews of their dye being able to hold its colour for 2-3 months, i was like sign me on mate!

I have bleached my hair 2 times with the Gatsby EX Hi-Bleach (check out full review here).
The tone of my hair now is still very brassy and has a lot of orange and yellows. I have toned it with purple shampoo so its a little better than before.
Dixmondsg recommends a minimum bleach of 4 times fore putting on their ash shades. And since rose gold wasn’t ash, I decided that 2 times was sufficient. Here is guide by them (from their facebook page) that you can reference to.
Here is how the rose gold dye looks mixed up before application. I forgot to take a photo of the lavender ash one, but it looked like a dark purple shade.
I've applied the dye to the top half of my head.
Went in with the Lavender Ash for the bottom half.
The recommended time is 45- 60 minutes before washing it off. So I let the dye stay for a full hour before washing it off with cold water and blowing dry with cold air (also recommended!).
As you can see from the photo the rose gold turned out rather pinkish and it didnt dye the top part of my head at all (roots, virgin hair). I’m actually quite confused about that as that section was quite pale yellow, so the dye should have went on more easily?
As for the lavender ash, I wasn’t expecting a lot (as I didn’t bleach my hair 4 times) but silk I’m very pleased with the results. The shade is like a greying lavender and it toned away all the yellow there.
To conclude things up, I’m on the fence about this product but still impressed by it. I am certain it would have looked even nicer if i bleached my hair maybe 1-2 more times. Overall I am pleased with the colour turnout and will keep the blog updated of how long the colours hold.
Dixmondsg carries a lot of trendy shades from ash tones to bright loud ones. Check them out on their here: http://www.dixmondsg.com
