STYLECON ASIA SINGAPORE 2016

Hey ya'll! I am so super excited to be sharing with you about my personal experience at StyleConAsia!

My humble soul finally attended my first ever event! Thank you for inviting me Geri (I love you to lil pieces)~

So let's first have a little run down about what StyleConAsia is all about. So StyleConAsia is a collaboration between GushCloud (Southeast Asia leading influencer marketing and media company) and StyleHaul (the leading global style network). 

This is the first StyleConAsia Tour, which covers a total of 4 beautiful cities from Singapore, Kuala Lumpar, Jakarta and Manila. 

And touring with this event is Lindy from BubzBeauty and Bubzvlogs herself!

Let me just tell you how excited I am for this event. It's my first event and I feel like a little girl lost in the pile of makeup.

Makeup time!
Lindy looks gorgeous~

The first time I saw Lindy it was from afar and I was thinking to myself, woah she's really petite. And I looked at her heels and I thought, really really petite.

But woah, could I feel her genuineness overwhelmingly warmed up the entire room.

 "HUGS FIRST!" are the first two words I received from her and I am going to remember that for the rest of my life. I'm telling you. 

She is such a genuine human being with so much love to share.

If I was asked to share anything from this event, I learned that numbers are never as important as passion. The thing that have got me started was passion and it will always be that way.
Do what you love and never work a single day in your life.
Thank you for your wise words. 

Oh and yes I won a $50 Voucher from Zalora! 
Zalora being so generous put out three $50 vouchers for grabs! So that's what I did was just raise my hands and participate! We are all given a little task to do and for me it was helping my bestie style a set of clothes!

Here is a quick rundown of day 2!

Had a quick workshop about video basics and I feel so much more motivated to find that lighting! *Hwaiting!*

Today was pretty hard core I will say. 

We were tasked to come up with a video within 90mins. Which is pretty bad ass I would say.

 As we named ourselves Aquarius, we wanted to do a video more of a fantasy/concept. So, we came up with this short clip, featuring Yume Kawaii Makeup trend.

This was all edited and put together in just 10 minutes and this the first time i was editing with shaking hands and a thunderous heart.

Recently, my friend introduced me to the BeautyCam app and god did I fall in love.

So, today StyleConAsia introduced us to the app Makeupplus, which supposedly is a relative of the BeautyCam app which I also love so much.

So here is a picture I took using Makeupplus, and #ponyfilter!

I love it and yes I shall spam ya'll with more photos using the app~

I just wanna say thank you for being so human, so touchable and not just some famous person up on a pedestal. 
I felt really touched by how genuine and real you are as a person.
My first ever role model, and with that I shall grow more from now and never stop learning.


Woots woots I'm home!
I just want to say, wow I think I fell in love with falsie. Wearing them these past 2 days got me feeling like a seductive angel. How contradicting I know. 
But my makeup stayed on really well today and I didn't even do any touch ups! (The secret ingredient is Facial Oil)

Overall, StyleConAsia has been a wonderful experience and I'm so grateful for getting a chance to meet Lindy and other passionate individuals. 
I understand that this post is slightly longer then my usual posts and is very picture heavy, but I really wanted to share my first event experience with ya'll! I hope you did enjoy my sharing session and feel free to share anything with me as well!

GLAMGLOW Youthmud Tinglefoliate Treatment Review

Hey ya'll! Today's review will be on an item which I had always wanted to try. 
I was very fortunate to be able to try out 2 sample packs of this masque before deciding if I want to invest in the entire full size product. As all of you would have know, Glam Glow is a rather (I mean VERY) expensive brand, so I am glad I was able to try out the samples first.
I  have read plenty of good reviews on their mask and am very eager to share my own views on this mask!

This mud mask leaves skin noticeably radiant and glowing. It works with the body's natural moisturizing collagen to provide gentle resurfacing exfoliation and helps to leave skin smoother, brighter, and softer. 

While providing tighter skin texture and tighter pores, it provides a more youthful appearance and absorbs impurities without removing natural oils. 

-A 10-minute professional-quality mud mask for men and women. 
-Apply a thin layer to clean face (can also be used on the neck and chest).
-Remove mask with water in circular motions to exfoliate.
-Use twice a week or as often as desired.
-Seal lid tightly.
-To re-liquefy, add drops purified water and stir.

Here is a photo before I use the mask.

So as the instructions say, to apply a thin layer and leave it on for 10 minutes.
Here is the mask around 1 minute after application,

Since it is such a thin layer, you can see that the mask has already start to dry.
There are little pieces of green tea leaves in the mask as well.
I am just going to point out that the scent of this mask is rather strong (green tea and mint). 

This is the mask completely dried after 10 minutes.
It is okay if some skin is showing through. You may think that the layer is way too thin, but it is actually enough to make your skin feel super tight. 
This mask makes my face feel so tight that when I went back to using my Kiehl's Deep Pore Clay Mask, it feels like the mask will never dries on me.

Here is a photo after using the mask.
As you can see, there is an instant glow to the skin and my pore feels tighter and looks less visible.
The skin feel a lot smoother and cleaner after exfoliation as well.
(P.S. I know that my skin is still horrid, but it most definitely improved after one use!

So much cleaner then before.

If you do read my blog, you would probably know that the Kiehl's Deep Pore Cleansing Masque has been my long time favourite clay masque. Both GlamGlow and Kiehl's masque have claims to help reduce appearance of pores and eliminate dead skin cells.
Just based on these claims, I would say that the Kiehl's masque was able to live up to those claims, while the Glam Glow's masque had well surpassed them.
Another thing I absolutely love about this mask is the fact that it is both a pore minimizing mask as well as an exfoliator! It exfoliates well, which is the main reason why you can see an instant difference in radiance of the skin. So its like a double kill (*smirks) mask!
Although I have yet used this mask for up to a month, I would already start to see the results showing after each use.
The only down side to this mask is its high price point. However, you only need such a thin layer of product for your entire face, so one tub is going to last you for a very long time. I was able to get up to 8 uses out of my 2 little sample packs! 

Pros
-Leaves skin feeling smooth 
-Instantly radiant skin
-tighter skin texture
-Tighter pores
-Minimize appearance of pores.
-It really fulfills all its claim! Impressive!

Cons
-Cost a bomb
-Strong scent

All skin types: -Recommended-
*If you have a bigger budget, you have to go pick one of these up. 
A thin layer is recommended for all when using this mask as it can get very tight and uncomfortable if too much is used.
This mask is suggested to be used 2 times per week or as many times as you like. 
If you have drier skin, it is better to use it 2 times maximum per week.

Yes I want to!
But its so darn expensive it hurts my poor soul.

Vaseline (Petroleum Jelly) Review

Hey ya'll! Today's review will be one of those must have multi-functional items for everyone.

It is our beloved Vaseline Petroleum Jelly! 

Did you know that Vaseline started way back in 1872? That is 144 years ago!

So what exactly is this petroleum jelly that everyone talks about?

"Petroleum jelly is a mixture of natural waxes and mineral oils that together lock moisture in skin, moisturizing it to repair and relieve dryness."

Vaseline comes in various sizes from really small and travel friendly to bigger; home used size.

Vaseline® Jelly is triple-filtered, ensuring it is truly free from impurities. This means that is often used to protect and repair the skin. 

Moms love it for preventing diaper rash, but it can also be used to protect minor cuts and burns, to soften skin, and to lock in moisture in dry, cracked skin. 

Vaseline® Jelly works from the inside out, repairing and protecting dry skin and locking in moisture, making your skin feel and look good!

As you all would have known, Vaseline is an extremely versatile product. Which is one of the reasons it is so well loved by all dry ones out there. 

Here are some great ways which Vaseline can be used:

1. Lipbalm: Apply a thick layer at night for best result.

2.Remove eye makeup: Coat the lids, then remove with tissue.

3.Highlight cheek bones: Blend a tiny amount over cheek bones

4.Before tanning: Use before tanning to achieve deeper tan.

5.Preserve fragrance: Dab on skin prior to perfume.

6.Home made exfoliator: Add in some brown sugar and make your own DIY scrb!

7.Brow gel: Use some on a clean mascara brush to set down those brows.

8.Soften skin: Moisturize heel, elbows, knees and any dry areas.

9.Remove stuck ring: Rub a little on your finger to reduce friction.

10.Heal small wounds: Apply a layer over cleansed area and bandage over. This will speed up healing process and reduce scarring.

11.Nail cuticle: Apply to keep nail cuticles healthy.

12.Easy nail polish application: Apply on skin around nail to easily remove nail polish which might have gotten stained.

13.Shine leather goods: Polish your leather jacket or shoe with a bit of Vaseline.

14.Stop squeaky doors: Apply to hinges

15.Prevent diaper rash: Apply as a protective coat over the skin.

Vaseline has a slightly thick gel paste like consistency.

Here is how it looks after application.

It leaves a sheen to the skin. But it does not feel sticky at all.

I usually use Vaseline as a thick leave-on lip balm just before I sleep. This is my favourite way to use this product as I find it super effective in softening severely dry lips. 

Prior to adding Vaseline into my lip skincare routine, I had seriously dry, cracked and bleeding lips. I was unable to wear lipsticks (especially matte ones) and found that regular lip balm does nothing in solving my lip problem.

So one day, my mom picked up a tub of Vaseline for me.

Initially, I started using it as a regular lip balm, spreading a thin layer over my lips. I found that it was not able to moisturize my dry lips at all.

Then, one night after the endlessly long fight with my dry cracked lips, I decided to just layered on a whole lot of vaseline on my lips and went to bed with it. 

Oh was I well rewarded the following morning~ Yehet!

I woke up with full hydrated plump lips!

And there after, I repeat this routine every night and I never have dry, bleeding lips again! *Happy~*

Nowadays, I do this routine only on alternate days as my lips are not as dry as before and the routine just serve as a maintenance lip treatment. So, whenever I experience any dryness, I know I just need to pile on some Vaseline and that will save my day!

-Extremely versatile

Cons

-In a tub, Unsanitary

-Controversy surrounding the product

Yes! I recommend this to EVERYONE (unless you are allergic to Vaseline/ Petroleum Jelly).
