Kat Von D Shade & Light Eye Contour Palette Review

Hey ya'll! Today's review will be on the Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Contour Palette! This is a follow up to their already so popular Shade and Light Face Contour Palette. If you are also interested in knowing my thoughts on that product, check out my review over here!
Moving onto this eye shadow palette, I have always contemplated on getting this going back and forth as I wasn't sure if I would get full use out of all the shades. But when Kat Von D launched in Sephora Singapore, I just had to pick it up. Anyways, onto the review!

Selling at Sephora at $73

As you can see, all matte shades!

Ludwin (Creamy Nude)
Latinus (lNeutral Brown)
Sytry (Neutral Mid tone brown)
Succubus (Soft Beidge)

Lazarus (Cool taupe)
Liberatus (Cool Dark Brown)
Shax (Jet Black)
Saleos (White)

Laetus (Peachy nude)
Lucius (Rich Rust)
Solas (Chocolate Brown)
Samael (Golden Bisque)

Here are a few looks I did using this palette:

Look 1
Transition: Laetus
 Crease: Lucius
Lid: Sytry & Solas
Outer Crease: Liberatus

Look 2
Transition: Laetus
 Crease: Lucius & Latinus
Lid: Succubs
Outer Crease: Liberatus
Inner Crease:Lucius & Latinus

I've been playing around with this palette for a good 2 months now. Personally I don't find myself reaching for this palette very often. But that's because the shade selection of this palette is not exactly up my alley. I personally prefer warmer tones and in this entire palette there are only 2 shades which come off warm to me, namely Laetus & Lucius. The remaining 10 shades ran more neutral to cool, so the overall palette didn't appeal as much to me. However, I would have to say, the texture of these shadows are rather impressive. They blend well and are very soft. Although the shade selection isn't necessarily my cup of tea, I still enjoy using this palette with some additions of warm mattes and shimmers to complete the look.

Pros
-Great pigmentation
-Great blendability
-Stays well on the eye

Cons
-A neutral/ cool tone palette
(tbh it's not really a con, it'll be perfect if they were all warm tones!)

Probably Not.
I love the quality of these eye shadows, but I don't dig the shade selection.

4/5
"If you are for cool or neutral mattes, this is a must have!"
