TRAVEL: Singapore Southern Islands (St.John's Island, Lazarus Island, Kusu Island)

Hey Ya'll! Today I'm coming in with my first travel post!
Today's destination lies at the South edge of our sunny island.
I'll be sharing with ya'll my experience island hopping at St. John's Island, Lazurus Island and Kusu Island!
These islands are part of Singapore so you don't have to bring your passport along.
It's a place which you nature lovers can consider going as a day trip or for families as Excursions.
So I will try to make this blog post as coherent as possible and I hope that will help ya'll out!

p.s: If ya'll like you could also go watch my Vlog on it (link below)

So I will be going to go through the details and things ou might want to take not of for the trip.

Check the timing of the ferry you would like to board the day before.

Here are the timings for the Departure from the ferry terminal:

Here are the timings for the last ferry back to the terminal:
(I would strongly recommend for you to plan your visits on Sundays or PH as the last ferry timing is alot later)

PACK YOUR OWN LUNCH
There are no stores on any of the islands so be prepared to pack along your own food and drinks.

1. Alight at the Mrt Station- Marina South Pier

2. Walk to the Ferry Terminal:
You can get out of any exit and you will see the Ferry Terminal. (It's the only building around)

Let's get the ticket!

2 Way Trip Pricing:
Adults- $18
Children- $12
(Ticketing counter closes at 3pm)
The ride from the Ferry Terminal to St.John's Island is 30 minutes.

St. John Island has really beautiful beaches. Well I'll say it has nothing but beautiful beaches.

Ignore my face haha, this is a screenshot from my vlog where I'm basically showing you the link from St. John's Island to Lazurus Island.

So following the link, you would need to walk in for another 15 Minutes before arriving at the beach of Lazarus Island. There are no shelter at all and the sun is scorching hot.
So be prepared to bring along an umbrella for shelter.

So as for the beach on Lazarus Island, it is a great location to have a blast with friends as if you're on your own private beach.
But I wouldn't recommend it for families with younger children as it is a chore to walk in and the area for children to have sand play is not as big. (I would recommend ya'll to just use the ones around the ferry pick up point)

1. There are NO clean toilets around that area so if you are thinking of a change of clothes after water play, it not happening. The nearest toilet from the beach is quite a walk away and the toilet is really dirty... its disgusting.

2.There is NO water, as in no stores that sells drinks or even vending machinesWell there's sea water.
So be prepared and bring your own bottle and bring a big one.

Kusu Island is also known as 'Tortoise' Island

"The legend behind Kusu Island is that a magical tortoise tuned itself into an island to save two men, a Chinese and a Malay, from a shipwreck. And thankful to the tortoise, the men build both a Chinese temple and Malay shrine on the island."

Kusu Island is my favourite of them all as it's the only island with clean chairs and well paved out paths.

For all of you who have Kusu as their last stop and have finished all your drinking water. Savior is on this Island!

There are can drink and cold mineral water being sold in the Chinese temple.
It is not an actual store, so you would have to approach the staff working there to ask for it.

So to conclude my Island hoping experience, I personally would never go back there ever again. But then again, I am someone who do not really enjoy the company of insects. Also I don't enjoy walking on sand or going into the water.

For ya'll who enjoy the company nature and dipping yourselves in the translucent blue sea, I would totally recommend the place.
Of course you would have to note those points I have brought up in this blog post to better prepare yourselves for the trip.

I hope ya'll enjoyed this blog post and that it might have helped you out in anyway?
