Mac Blush Melba (Matte) Review

Hey ya'll! Today's review will be on a Mac blush. Mac's blushes always has a lot of hype around them and people seem to love collecting them. This is my first Mac blush and I did plenty of research (as usual) before going in with the purchase.

The shade Melba is one of the most versatile shade which many recommended as a must have. So lets go into the review!

Selling at Mac Counters at $35, 6g

Matte Formula

Simple black sleek packaging

Mac describes it as a soft coral -peach

When swatched beside Mac Peaches, Melba is a deeper coral-peach while Peaches is straight up peachy.
Additionally, Peaches feels softer in the pan as compared to Melba.

Here is another side by side pan comparison.

Here is how it looks on me. It gives a really subtle blush of colour to the cheeks.

I really enjoy using this when I do smokier eye looks. I think it gives the skin a subtle flush that is so pretty. However as the powder is pressed pretty hard into the pan, it was slightly difficult for me to get the product onto the brush so I had to go in a couple of times to build up pigmentation. Also I did notice that it fades slightly through the day. Despite those points, I still find myself reaching for this blush very often as it is just such an easy shade which will compliment any eye look.

Pros
-Really versatile shade or all skin tones.
-Gives skin a natural flush

Cons
-Pressed a little hard into the pan.
-Does fade slightly through the day
-Was slightly difficult o pick up product from pan

Yes!
I also would want to try out their other finishes of blushes.

3/5

"May not be the best blush formula for it's price."
