Benefit Porefessional Primer Review

Hey ya'll! Today's review will be on the Benefit Porefessional Primer. This is one of the first mattifiying/ pore filling primer which was out there in the market. There were many who loved it and many who hated it. So today will be my take on this old school primer.

Selling in Sephora at $54, 22ml
$91, 44ml

It has a beige tint and a paste like consistency.

-Minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines effectively
-Silky light weight formula
-Comfortable on Skin
-Helps makeup stay put
-Reduce shine
-Invisible on all skin tones
-Oil free texture
-Contains vitamin E to protect skin from free radicals

To be used under or over makeup after moisturizing.
-Under Makeup: Pat on problem areas (pores, fine lines) and blend with finger tips.
-Over Makeup: Pat lightly over makeup and blend
-For touch up: If pores reappears through the day, pat delicately over makeup and blend

Here is how it looks before and after application.

So I will be putting it through a test to see which claims it manages to meet!

As you can see, upon initial application, the primer has successfully blurred out he huge pores on my face and the overall face looks smooth and matte.

9 hours passed and I have to say I am actually very satisfied with the state of my makeup.
My pores are still in check and although I may e sinner then when I first started, the oil is still at a controlled level which has not broken down my foundation. Impressed.

This is indeed a hyped up primer for a really good reason. I love the overall texture and consistency of this primer. A little bit will go a very long way so do not squeeze out too much product. I just have to ensure that my face is well moisturized before using this as primer may clump if skin is too dry.
I think that it extends the wear of my makeup slightly and hold my makeup in place well (pore areas where it is applied).

Pros
-Light and smooth consistency
-Blurs out pores successfully
-A little bit goes a long way (do not over load)
-Slightly extends wear of makeup
-Reduce shine

Cons
-May clump easily if does not match with skincare applied.
-Expensive

All Skin Types: -Recommended-
*It is important that your face is well moisturized before usage. And use very little at a time as using too much will cause product to clump and roll up.
Also only apply to areas where you have larger pores and not entire face.
