MAKEUP SHOPPING BANGKOK + HAUL

Hey guys! I recently went to Bangkok Thailand for a 8D7N trip. So in this post, I'll be mostly sharing with y'all in depth about all the beauty related placed I visited and if they are worth the visit! I'll also show you what I got from each store to give y'all a better idea of what you can find there.

So lets start from the top, this is me happy arrival at The Berkeley Hotel Bangkok. This is my 2nd stay in this hotel, and I give it a TWO THUMBS UP!

For those of you who are not visiting Bangkok on a budget or is on a family vacation, i would 120% recommend y'all to stay at The Berkeley Hotel. It is super luxurious with great service (seriously impressive) and atmosphere which will make your trip twice as enjoyable. Ya'll can wait for special promotion they sometimes have on their website for more savings.

Here are the few places that we covered over the span of 8 days.

Location
Directly outside the gantry of Siam BTS (many other outlets available)

How to get there
Outside Siam Paragon to Siam BTS gantry

Brands Available
 Cathy Doll

Review
I personally didn't really manage to get anything from this store. I found the skincare more targeted towards whitening and others seemed gimmicky with only cute packaging. For the makeup, i didn't really like the pigmentation and texture of most items so i end up not picking up anything. The price range of the items were drugstore price and there is often sales on-going as well.

EveAndBoy was a sure to visit place for me! It was really crowded despite us reaching there really late after being lost for so long. I would say it is something like a Sephora but with drugstore items? I enjoyed shopping in the well organized and hug layout of the store. There was a wide varitey of brands from makeup to skincare and haircare with on-going sales. If ou are a beauty junkie, this is a MUST GO for you!

It was such a pleasant experience shopping at Beauty Cottage. The staffs were really friendly and helpful, plus they wore such cute outfits. How to get there
Sky walk from BTS to Central World or Siam Centre

Tarte, Too Faced, Nyx, Marc Jacobs, Boscia, Urban Decay, Etc

The only product I got there. I brought along my Sephora Card to collect points there too.

Price List
Nyx Dark Circle Concealer Corrector- 345bht, $13.80

Review
Well it is just like the Sephora we have in Singapore, but prices more inflated. Prices here are either similar to the ones in SG or alot more expensive. I'll give you a simple example, the price of a Too faced Chocolate bar Palatte cost $76 in SG but $107 in BKK. So i guess this is a stop you won't be expecting to buy much from.

Review
Boots is a drugstore from England and well its basicially something like our Watsons in Singapore. It carries more variety of different brands we dont often see in Singapore such as No.7 and Boots House brand. They will also give you a tourist card for discount on Boots house brand products. So i think if you do spot a Boots in the mall, do drop by and check it out.

Location
 MBK (Many other outlets available)

How to get there
Sky walk from National Museum BTS

Brands Available
 Collection, Maybelline, In2it, Revelon

Review
I did not get much shopping done here as many of the brands seen here are repeatitive to the other stores i have visited. The prices are drugstore but not much sales was going on as compared to the others. Hence i feel that this is not a must visit place and you can totally skip it over.

Here are the products I bought. I especially like the lip tints/ gloss so I bought them all. They are super affordable too, $3 each!

Price List
Sugar Lip Scrub- 150bht, $6.00
Born to be Baby Tint Essence- 75bht, $3.00

Review
I will start off with a good note, there
are many things here and it is worth going to check out the variety of products. Okay now onto the negative side, the service SUCKS. The staffs there were extremely rude and showed us attitude constantly. This unfortunately happened to 3 of the different outlets we visited. The only outlet which provided excellent service was the one located outside Siam BTS, however the outlet is not as big as the one in MBK. To conclude, it was worth visiting however next time i will just visit the one at Siam BTS.

Location
Siam Square SOI 5, Central World L3

How to get there
Siam BTS, through Siam Square to SOI 5 (it is located outside of the mall)

Brands Available
 Sigma, Snail White, The Balm

Review
Lashes was not worth the visit. The items here are either the same price as you can get from SG or marked up. They also carry other smaller drugstore brands with marked up prices. Although there were many signs of sales placed up in the stores, the sales items are actually just a few and mostly not what is popular. I would give this place a skip next time i go.

I personally enjoyed shopping here the most. The store was not overly crowded and the prices were low too. I ended up getting most of my items here as there were a wide variety of brands which seemed interesting. The products are mainly drug store items ranging to makeup, skincare and hair care. There were also a few on-going promotions while we were there.

Location
 The Palladium World Shopping

How to get there
Opposite Platinum Mall, Beside the Berkeley Hotel

Products Available
Cathy Doll, Scentio, Vampire Beauty White, Etc

Price List
Lip Whitening M.Chue Lip Balm- 50bht, $2.00
Pore Pack- 3 for 150bht, $6.00
Yanhee Acne Cream- 100bht, $4.00

Review
The Elements is one of my personal favourites as it carries a huge variety of unique skincare products which are more difficult to locate. If you are interested in getting Thailand's popular whitening products for any part of your body, this is a sure go for you. Product prices are also slightly lower here. Do take note that there are several counterfeit makeup being sold here, just be weary of your purchase. Besides that I believe you will have loads of great purchases here.

ARTBOX BANGKOK (18th- 20th March 2016)

This was the most magical night market I've ever been too. It really brings out the creativity and innovation that makes this night market so different and unique. The atmosphere was splendid and the night was just a Magical one. See how happy I look holding onto that enormous cup of juice. Since ARTBOX is only a pop up night market, I'm not very certain when is the next one going to be. So if you are planning a trip to Bangkok, maybe you would want to check out their official FB page for the most updated news.

AFTER YOU CAFE CENTRAL WORLD

Did I mention I have a thing for cakes? Well I couldn't say no to these pretty cakes right? And that's why greed took over and I ordered way too much, such a sin. If you are visiting Bangkok, this is a stop you can't miss. The Shibuy Honey Toast (185 baht/ $8) and the Queen E Fudge Cake (165 baht/ $6.5) were my personal favourites.

OMU RESTRAUNT CENTRAL WORLD

The stop at OMU restaurant was a really memorable one for me too. I went there 2 times during my trip. I ordered the original one which cost about 130 baht, equivalent to $5 SGD. So affordable right? It wasn't anything so fantastic taste wise but the appearance was adorable and tasted pretty unique. So that's a thumbs up for me!

Check out Starving Time's Instagram for more Interesting Yummy Places to check out!

So that concludes my trip in Bangkok. I had nothing but a blast there and am already looking forward to my next visit there!

Till next time Bangkok, I will be back!
